Figure 3 Icariin improved glucose-stimulated insulin secretion in Min6 cells. Min6 cells were treated with icariin for 2 h and 5 mg/dl UA for another 4 h, followed by stimulation with low or high concentrations of glucose for another 1 h. Cells were divided into six groups: control, UA, UA+5 μM icariin, UA+10 μM icariin, UA+20 μM icariin. Insulin concentrations were measured using the GSIS assay. ** P<0.01 compared with the control group; # P<0.05, ## P<0.01 compared with the UA group.
