Non-surgical management includes restricting weight-bearing during exercise, hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT), drugs, and biophysical therapy, which have limited effectiveness. Surgical treatments are considered for severe cases, and mainly consist of total hip arthroplasty (THA) and Girdlestone resection arthroplasty (GRA).
