Figure 1 HU values determined using region of interest (ROI) are shown. Measure HU values at 3 positions on the cross-section of the vertebral body: upper 1/3, middle 1/3, and lower 1/3 sides. For each measurement, we drew the largest possible elliptical area of ROI, excluding cortical edges to prevent volume averaging.
