Figure 1 A preoperative X-ray of a patient presenting with a fracture, the position given to the patient, incision planning, an intraoperative photograph showing the humeral head being so thin that screw fixation is nearly impossible, the appropriate position for adjusting the humeral version, and the final photograph after prosthesis placement are shown. The photographs in Figure 1 were combined using the Paint (Microsoft Windows) program. No other software was used.
