Figure 5 Relationship between pain, crepitus, tender muscles, and mouth opening before and after prolotherapy. The study revealed improvement in the crepitus and pain status of all 7 subjects by the third month of therapy, and the VAS score of the subjects was 1.85, on average, by the end of the sixth month. Over time, patients returned to baseline FIQ scores, but indicated pain at the time ranging from some relief to most unpleasant at the initial setup appointment with the second injection.
