People stay in this dry environment for a long time, which makes the respiratory mucosa dry and the skin water loses, causing chronic water shortage in the body, activating the RAS system, and finally leading to a decrease in eGFR. ACE – angiotensin-converting enzyme; Ang I – angiotensin I; Ang II – angiotensin II; eGFR – estimated glomerular filtration rate; RAS – renin-angiotensin system.
