Figure 5 (A, C) Diffusion kurtosis imaging and diffusion tensor imaging show normal MRI findings of the tibial nerve and common peroneal nerve. (B) It presents with disruption of nerve fiber bundle structure, disappearance of perineural boundaries, and obvious fusiform thickening of the common peroneal nerve. (D) It presents with focal hypointensity along the nerve fiber bundles (indicated by arrows), consistent with the manifestations of axonal injury.
