Figure 4 The intraoral images illustrate the sequential surgical steps: (A) elevation of a full-thickness mucoperiosteal flap; (B) positioning of a custom-fabricated measuring guide designed to facilitate implant placement at the predetermined position and angulation previously defined on cone beam computed tomography images; and (C) selection of the implant position using horizontally oriented guide markings on the specially designed ruler aligned parallel to the alveolar crest, while the ascending guide (perpendicular part) markings enable preparation of the osteotomy to allow implant placement at an angulation ranging from 15° to 25°.
