Model 1: adjusted for age, female sex, body mass index, estimated glomerular filtration rate, medication use at follow-up (aspirin, angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor/angiotensin receptor blocker, calcium channel blocker, beta-blocker, and metformin); and glycated hemoglobin A1c, urine albumin-creatinine ratio and 24-h urine volume at follow-up.
