Symptoms and/or hyperglycaemia

Symptoms of diabetes (polydipsia, polyuria, unexpleined weight loss) + Random plasma glucose >200 mg/dl

Fasting plasma glucose ≥126 mg/dl

Oral glucose tolerance test (75 gr glucose challenge)
