* Avulsion fractures or isolated pubic/ischial remus fractures of pelvic ring were unable to be classified by Young-Burgess classification system.
# Transverse undisplaced sacral body fractures (61A3) were not included in this study as these cases were specifically diagnosed and managed as sacral fractures rather than pelvic fractures in our institution.
APC – anterior posterior compression; LC – lateral compression; VS – vertical sheer; CM – combined mechanism; AO/OTA – Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Osteosynthesefragen/Orthopaedic Trauma Association.
