Procedure Dynamics in Transfemoral vs Transradial Cerebral Angiography: A Retrospective Study

Figure 2 Example of the transradial cerebral angiography (TRCA) process. (A) After puncturing the radial artery, an angiogram was performed to confirm adequate collateral perfusion of the hand. (B) Utilizing the aortic valve, the Simmons 2 catheter was reshaped into its natural configuration, and the left common carotid artery was selected. Subsequently, wiring was advanced into the left internal carotid artery, and an angiogram was performed. (C) The catheter was adjusted to select the innominate artery, followed by the right internal carotid artery angiogram. During this process, the relationship between the height of the aortic arch and the right innominate artery was used to evaluate tortuosity. TRCA – transradial cerebral angiography.
