| 1. 29 days < Age <14 years | 1. Hospital acquired adenovirus pneumonia |
| 2. Positive results for adenovirus by RT-PCR assay from respiratory secretions or serum IgM | 2. A confirmed co-infection with other pathogens |
| 3. Pneumonia was confirmed by chest X-ray | 3. An experience of other hospital therapy within the last 3 days before admission |
| 4. Re-admitted without 7 days symptom-free period | |
| 5. Other severe diseases or organ dysfunction | |
| 6. History of receiving corticosteroids before admission within 1 week | |
| 7. Cases with substantial missing data | |
