The aim of this study was to assess the occurrence of allergy symptoms in celiac disease children. The study group comprised 100 randomly chosen children (62 females and 38 males), aged between 4 and 18 years with a diagnosed celiac disease, according to ESPGAN criteria. 15 patients were suspected of allergy, based on clinical symptoms and biochemical results (elevated IgE levels, eosinophilia). In 12, the diagnosis was confirmed, based on positive inhalatory and food allergen skin prick tests. Allergy occurrence determination in celiac disease children needs further researching.
