Obstruction of the hepatic artery results in schemic cholangiopathy when the peribiliary plexus is invloved.Portal or hepatic vein thrombosis should always be considered as a clue to the presence of an underlying prothrombotic condition.Manifestations are mostly related to venous hypertension upstream from the obstruction.Prognosis is mostly related to ischemia of the organ upstream from venous obstruction.Anticoagulant therapy should always be considered.
