Acute lead encephalopathy in an 11-year-old child

Abstract
A case of acute lead encephalopathy in an 11-year old boy has been described. Lead compounds in paints were found to be responsible for poisoning. The child was exposed to the toxin while painting miniature car models. The main symptoms included impaired sense of balance, disturbed vision and disordered speech. Arterial hypertension was also present.
