Assessment of ATB FUNGUS test for determining the susceptibility of Candida strains to antifungal agents

Abstract
Susceptibility of 75 strains of Candida isolated from women with vulvovaginal candidosis were tested against 5-fluorocytosine, amphotericine, nystatine, miconazole and ketoconazole using ATB FUNGUS (bioMerieux). 80,4%of isolates were resistant to the tested drugs. 29,3% strains were resistant to nystatine and only 1,3% were resistant to 5-fluorocytosine and econazole.
