The study encompassed 1450 children, aged from 3 months to 16 years, suspected of allergic diseases. In all studied cases, total IgE level was assessed and specific antibodies of IgE class (sIgE) with air-born and food allergens were evaluated. Screening test (Fx5,) was performed in 666 children suspected of food allergy. The Phadiatop screening test for allergy to pollens was made in the case of 842 children suspected of allergy to pollens. On the basis of the history of the disease, its clinical picture, and the presence of sIgE, allergy was confirmed in 59% of studied children.
