Abstract

Vascular diseases of central nervous system are one of the most common causes of death in adults. While occurrence in childhood is rare and our knowledge about etiopathogenesis is insufficient; usually the prognosis is unfavorable; diagnostic and therapeutic procedures are controversial. Based on literature review authors present inherited disorders, connected with stroke, such as PC deficiency, antiphospholipid syndrome, dyslipidemias and homocystinuria, predisposing to thrombosis and clinically to ischemic events in early life.
