ApoB VNTR system population data in the South Poland inhabitants

Abstract
Allelic and genotype frequencies of a VNTR system ApoB were assessed in a sample of 158 unrelated inhabitants of the South Poland. Total of 16 alleles and 47 genotypes were found. The distribution of genotypes did not differ from genetic equilibrium. A high heterozygosity, polymorphism value as well as forensic application predictive parameters were found, however system demanded elaborated preparation for alleles numbering. Presented population sample data might be compared to the vascular disease patients in order to establish the predictive value of ApoB polymorphism.
